Open Hand is : justin Isham - Guitar, Vocal Eric Valentine - Guitar Ryan Castagna - bass Drew Marcogliese - drums Breanne Martin - Vocals, Keyboards Open hand formed in Hollywood in 1999 by singer + guitarist Justin Isham, bassist Michael Anastasi and then drummer Alex Rodriguez. After Releasing two EPs via their own label "American Propaganda", they signed to Trustkill records. Trustkill released Open hands debut album "The Dream", a collection of their early EPs and new songs, in 2003. It was released and became a firm underground favourite. Open Hand then embarked on a European tour with hardcore favourites Poison The Well in support of their debut album. After this tour, however, Open hands line-up literally began to fall to pieces. Every member left Open Hand, except Justin. Still, he began to write their follow up to The Dream alone. During the writing process, he called on old friend Paxton Pryor to join the band as new tub-thumper. Pryor agreed, and the bands new album began to come to life. Afterwards, former bassist Michael Anastasi re-joined, swiftly followed by Sean Woods on guitar, to complete the line-up of the now inseperable Open hand. Recording of their second album was completed, and named You And Me, a title Justin had been toying with since writing began when he was on his own. You And Me was released in Febuary 2005 through Trustkill/Roadrunner records, to much critical acclaim. It was a huge turnaround from the sound of The Dream. where the debut album was more punk, emo, and hardcore, You And Me is an epic guitar stoner rock masterpeice. They then joined My Chemical Romance for a sold out four date UK Tour, playing great historic venues such as Londons Astoria and Glasgows Barrowlands. they went down a storm, as they did in their three small headline shows while they were here. In June, they played a bunch of headlining shows in the UK. these shows, however, would be the last OH fans would see of Paxton and Michael. Their names disapeared from band listing not long after. Later in the year, Open Hand went on their last tour in support of You And Me, with Fight Paris on the Dunn and Don Vito tour, with part-time members David and Sammy. Afterwards, Open Hand went away to write new material, and new members Drew (drums) Dave (bass) and Eric replacing Sean Woods as guitarist, aswell as Breanne Martin becoming a permanent member, were recruited. Now, Open Hand will have new material out soon....wait and hear....
